Obituary - Electa Ellen Lewis was born at Naples, Illinois, December 6, 1854, and passed away Monday evening, February 6, 1922, at her home near Little River, Kansas; aged 67 years and 2 months. She was married Harry Taylor Perry in 1882. To this union was born one daughter, Lena, who lives at Springfield, Illinois. After the death of Mr. Perry, she was married to Mr. George Banister on April 7, 1911, and came to Little River, her new home. Mrs. Banister joined the Methodist Church in her girhood and moved her membership to Little River soon after coming here. She had taught in the Sunday School in her home church in Illinois, and whenever opportunity afforded she enjoyed going to Sunday School and church. She was also a member of the Rebecca Lodge and Order of Eastern Star of Little River. She leaves to mourn her loss one daughter, Mrs. Lena Sorrells, and one grandson, Roy Hamey, both of Springfield, Ill.; on sister, Mrs. Lucy Pearson of Portland, Oregon, and three brothers - Geo. Lewis of Portland, Oregon; Porr Lewis of Los Angeles, Calif., and Thomas Lewis of Naples, Ill., together with many friends and loved ones. Funeral services were conducted from the Methodist church at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon by her pastor, Rev. W. W. Owen. The Rebekah Lodge ritualistic service was held at the church and the Order Eastern Star burial service was held at the grave. Interment in Bean Cemetery.
