LAWRENCE E. VAUGHN of High Street, Robeson Extension, Williamsburg, was dead on arrival at Mercy Hospital from his home at 1.30 a.m. yesterday, after having been ill for the past year. He was born at Sandy Ridge Oct. 13, 1906, a son of Grayson Vaughn, and Bessie (Beckwith) He married Margaret K. Remwick March 23, 1928, in Cumberland, Md.
Surviving are his wife, four daughters, Mrs. Patricia M. Gates and Mrs Sarah P. Frye of Williamsburg, Beverly of San Francisco, Calif., and Mrs. Sandra K. Martin of Washington, D.C.; seven grandchildren, and two brothers and a sister, Clair of Sandy Ridge, Herman of Elyria, Ohio, and Marie of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
Mr.Vaughn was chief fireman for the Pennsylvania Electric Co. at Williamsburg. Friends will be received in the Friedline Funeral Home, Williamsburg, from 7 to 9.30 p.m.tomorrow and after 10 a.m. Wedncsday
VAUGHN—Services for Lawrence E. Vaughn of Hugh St., Robeson Ext., Williamsburg, will be held at 1.30 p.m. Wednesday in the Friedline Funeral Home by the Rev. Joseph Confer. Interment in Alto Reste Burial Park. Friends will be received in the funeral home from 7 to 9.30 p.m. Tuesday after 10 a.m. Wednesday.
