Mr. Ritter had been employed at McDonald-Douglas Aircraft Corp for 22 years until his retirement in 1976. He attended Hallett, OK public schools and graduated from Southwest City Missouri High School. He was a member of the Southwest City Baptist Church and Carson Wilson American Legion Post 1 at Tulsa. He had served in the US Navy from 1951 to 1955 on the Destroyer William G Law during the Korean conflict. Born March 18, 1931 to Andrew Jackson and Sophia Marler Ritter. A Native American, he was 3/4 Choctaw and 1/4 Cherokee. He married the former Kathleen McCain of Marietta, OH on Oct. 1, 1955 at Miami, OK. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one stepdaughter, Judy Forbes Ritchie of Tulsa; one brother, Harlan Ritter of Los Angeles, CA; and nephews and nieces. He was preceed in death by his parents; two brothers, Olen and Alvie Ritter; and three sisters, Ola Hollan, Imogene Alexander and Christine Atencio.
