Nadean was the daughter of Leonard Rush "L.R." Hamrick (1885-1952) and Permelia Angaline "Mealy" Dennis (1889-1965). On October 3, 1949, Nadean married Charles Walter McVey (1930 – 1982), son of John Everett McVey (1906-1984) and Fannie Martha McGregor (1911-1986). They had one daughter, Sharon Hope McVey (1950 – 2010).

God took you away to ease your pain, yet they left us crying...but now the right thing to do is think about all the great memories we had with you.

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a wonderful treasure to always hold in your heart miss you forever & always.
