As for "Aunt Terry" ~ I remember my mom telling me that she had two good friends whose names were Teresa or Theresa. They agreed to be the"Three Ts" so she picked Terry because she liked the name and it fit the "Teresa" theme. It's been a while since I heard that story, but I think I recalled it correctly.

An alternate spelling of your mom’s maiden name is Belleterri, which can be broken down to Belle Terri, or beautiful Terri, and with some substitution becomes Aunt Terry. It could be!!!?????
