His obituary is in the Chronicle Herald of Monday 21 February 2000, Page B15 and reads "MacPhee, Elisha Wilfred - 83, Shubenacadie, passed away February 20, 2000, in Hillcrest Manor, Truro. Born in MacPhee's Corner, he was a son of the late Ezra and Catherine (MacPhee) MacPhee. He was a member of MacPhee's Corner United Church. He was employed in the logging industry, as a carpenter, and with the Department of Transportation, for a number of years as a highway foreman. Surviving are his wife, Evelyn (Dalrymple); daughters, Judy Miller, Shubenacadie; Diane Stoddart (Robert), Mill Village; four grandchildren, Mark Miller, Sheri Miller. Derek Stoddart and Andrea Stoddart; sisters, Della Weeks, Berwick; Lucy Cox, Truro. He was predeceased by sisters, Etta, Bessie, Eva, Ethel; brothers, Cyril, Wendell, Harry, Ralph. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today, February 21, funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, both in Ettingers Funeral Home, Shubenacadie, Rev. Eric Bacon officiating. Spring Burial in Brookside Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations to MacPhee Corner United Church Memorial Fund, Brookside Cemetery Fund or the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia."
