Muriel F. Lawton McGrath Bragg, 89, of Plaistow died Friday evening, Sept. 23, 2011
Born in Danvers, daughter of the late Frank and Amy (Carr) Lawton. She was raised in Lynn, and graduated from Lynn English High School.
After her marriage to the late Arthur J. McGrath, she moved to Ward Hill section of Haverhill where she lived for several years. She worked as a stitcher and heel closer in the local shoe industry and was employed for many years at Arakelian Shoe Co of Haverhill. She was a long time former member of Sacred Hearts Parish of Bradford.
Mrs. Bragg was a resident of Wakefield NH, for several years and also an 18 year resident of Sandown NH, before moving to Plaistow NH in 2002, following the death of her second husband Robert C Bragg.
Mrs. Bragg was an avid Red Sox fan, Mrs. Bragg enjoyed knitting, working on crossword puzzles and playing cards.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law Nancy (McGrath) and William Malvers of Sarasota FL and Diane (McGrath) and John Hansen of Fremont NH, Sylvia (Bragg) Coombs of Kingston NH and Pearl (Bragg) Reynolds of Exeter NH; sons and daughters-in-law Robert C. Jr and Catherine Bragg of Kingston NH, Richard D. And Cynthia Bragg of Reading Mich .and Walter E. and Karen Bragg of Ryegate VT; a sister Dorothy Randall of Salem NH; 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
