Charles Vance Wilcox, 89, of East Grafton Road, Fairmont, passed away Sunday (Sept. 30, 2012) at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Marion County on March 31, 1923, a son of the late William Clarence and Bertha Zoe (Price) Wilcox.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Imogene Mae (Snyder) Wilcox.

Charles proudly served his country with the U.S. Marines Corps during World War II. He participated in the Okinawa Campaign and the Korean War.

He was a journeyman pressman and antique dealer by trade. He was a graduate of Farmington High School. He enjoyed collecting antiques and collectibles and, thanks to his late wife and daughters, was a 25-year volunteer for Girl Scouts of America.

He is survived by four daughters, Beth Parzych and her husband Jim of Cincinnati, Ohio, Katie Wilcox of Blue Creek, Ohio, Sarah Sharrock and her husband Steve of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Jackie Pochel of Blue Creek, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Bobby, Molly, Katie, Nick, Nathan, Amanda and Nick; and two great-grandchildren, Aiden and Ryann Lee.

Also surviving is a brother, John R. Wilcox of Fairmont and, a son-in-law, Howarth Gilmore of Towaco, N,J.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Gilmore, and a brother, William J. Wilcox.

In keeping with the wishes of the deceased, his body has been cremated.
