Relatives here received a message telling of the death of Clarence Burt at Pinehurst, Washington. He was about 70 years of age. His parents were John and Cassie Ervin Burt, who were pioneer residents of Clay county (sic). Clarence Burt and family lived in the Weber district southwest of Clay Center a number of years and moved from there to Loup City, Nebraska, about 25 year ago and moved from Loup City to Washington in 1937. Mr Burt is survived by his wife, Mrs. Fannie Hughes Burt, of Pinehurst, Washington; three sons, Claude of Lincoln, Nebraska; Harold of Pinehurst, Washington and Floyd; his brothers, Frank of Nelson, Nebraska; and Jesse of Anan, Nebraska; his half brothers, William A. Burt and Harry Oxley of Lincoln, Nebraska; and Winfred Oxley of Clay Center, Nebraska; and other relatives. Mr. Burt was a cousin of s. D. Burt of Marshall.
