Graveside services for JOHN NEWELL MCDUFFIE, 61, of Tucker will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Floral Hills Memory Gardens with Rev. Alton Ray officiating.
The state director of the Farmers Home Administration since 1970, Mr. McDuffie died Sunday. He had served for 18 years as administrative assistant to the Georgia state commissioner of agriculture and was formerly with the U. S. Department of Agriculture in Washington, D. C.
He attended North Georgia College and the University of Georgia and was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his widow, the former Viva Waters; daughter, Mrs. J. W. (Sandra)Fannin of Lawrenceville; sons, John Newell McDuffie, Jr. of Gray and Gerald McDuffie of Cornelia; sisters, Mrs. Helen Bauman of Ft. Myers, FL, Mrs. Ed Williams of Augusta and Mrs. Guinn Cronic of Lula; brother, Leland McDuffie of Carnesville.
