Born in Russia in July, 1860, Celia immigrated to the US in 1883 according to the 1900 census. Shortly after arrival she met and married Benjamin Gitsky, a widower with seven grown children. Celia and Benjamin had four children, of which three lived; Isaac George "Ike", Jenna Fruma "Flora", and Meyer.

Both Celia and Benjamin became naturalized citizens in 1894.

After Benjamin's death in 1896, she remarried on March 3, 1900, to John M Falk. From this union came one child, Max.

The exact cause of death, and the location of her burial site is unknown at this time.
