Antone Ozymkowski, well known coal miner, died at 4:45 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the family residence, 1738 East Eldorado Street. He was sixty-five years old, He had been a sufferer from cancer for more than a year and that eventually caused his death.
Mr. Ozymkowski was born in Germany, Nov. 11, 1855. He came to Decatur directly from Germany thirty five years ago and has resided in this city ever since. During all those years he has resided in the east part of the city and was employed in the Decatur coal mines. He was one of the best known men in that neighborhood. He was a member of St. James Catholic church and had many friends. He is survived by his wife and the following children: Mrs. Anna Piekutowski, Mrs. Agnes Grawlewski, Miss Martha Ozymkowski, Miss Veronica Ozymkowski, Stanley(Steve), Waldo, and Bruno Ozymkowski. He also leaves twelve grand-children.
The funeral will be held at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning in St. James church. The interment will be in Calvary cemetery.
