Doris Izetta Small and Oren Robinson were married at the home of her parents on Friday, January 15, 1915. The ceremony was performed at noon by Rev. Ira M. Benham, of the Methodist church in the presence of over 40 relatives and friends. Miss Mary Thayer played the wedding music and the couple were unattended. The bride wore a pretty gown of white crepe trimmed with shadow lace and carried white roses. After the ceremony a wedding dinner was served. They are at home on a farm 1 1/2 miles northwest of Willis, Brown Co., Kansas until they retired and moved to Horton, Kansas. They were the parents of six children. Doris died at the Horton Community hospital. Prior to entering the hospital, she resided at the Tri-County Manor of Horton for two years. Survivors include three daughters, Evelyn Bomberger, Route 1, Atchison Co. KS, Edna Hobbs, Castle Rock, Wash., and Elma Hobbs, Horton; two sons, Harold Robinson, Watertown, N.Y., and Oscar Robinson, Horton; a sister, Dorothy Wysocki; two brothers, Henry Small, Horton and Otho Small, Muscotah, 30 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Chaney Chapel, Horton, the Rev. Paul Wiand, officiating.
