|Birth: ||Aug. 4, 1868|
|Death: ||May 3, 1901|
When Bastiaan Peter Verwolf was born at the riverdike village Ameide in August 1886 his mother Merrigje Verwolf was unmarried. He was named for his uncles Bastiaan and Pieter Verwolf, who both died in 1860 at the age of two years resp. seven months. When his mother married in November 1872 her husband didn't legitimize him, so he kept the surname Verwolf.
Bastiaan Peter moved in the period 1880-1900 with his grandfather Joris Verwolf from Princegracht to Achterweg 148 B in Ameide.
On 25 August 1892 he married at the age of 24 years in her birthplace Groot-Ammers, province Zuid-Holland to the five years younger Merrigje de Bes. In January 1894 their first child, Cornelia, was born at Tienhoven, but she died within six weeks. On 21 March 1894 the couple moved from Tienhoven to Krimpen aan den IJssel and lived there in the period until 1900 in the houses nr. 14 B, 18, 64 and B 51. Bastiaan Peter was in this period first labourer, later on clerk (kantoorbediende). On 26 June 1895, 13 November 1896 and 26 December 1898 their children Jan Cornelis, Leentje and Liza were born at Krimpen aan den IJssel, a town and municipality on the southern banks of the River Hollandse IJssel, east of Rotterdam in the western Dutch province Zuid-Holland too.
Bastiaan Pieter Verwolf, factory labourer and married to Merrigje de Bes, died at the age of 32 years in Rotterdam in a house at the Westersingel, but he resided then in Krimpen aan den IJssel. Sources: scans of decease aktes and Bevolkingsregisters Krimpen aan den IJssel 1890-1900, Familysearch, 11/2012.
Because his only son Jan Cornelis Verwolf died on 25 July 1921 in Groot-Ammers at the age of 26 years, unmarried and without children, this Verwolf branche died out (in male line).
