Jackie Dean Gabbard and his half-brother Johnny R. Heaton, were both killed instantly in a head on collision, near Corydon on July 12, 1973.
Funeral services for Jackie Gabbard, a seventh grade student at Milltown School and a member of the Milltown 4-H Club, were held at the Newkirk Funeral Home in Milltown, with the Rev. Fred Carpenter and Orville Hinton officiating. Burial was in the Bloom Riddle Cemetery at Alton.
Survivors included his Grandmother, Mrs. Mae Gabbard, of Milltown (who he lived with), a sister, Agnes Marie Gabbard, of Milltown.
