WIEBE, Matthew Age 28 of Hilliard, OH formerly of Fairfield, passed away Tuesday October 19, 2004 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus of complications associated with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia, with which he had been diagnosed five days prior. He was born December 26, 1975 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, the son of Alwyn and Kathie Wiebe. On June 19, 1999 he married Anna Stow in Shandon, OH. He was a 1994 graduate of Fairfield High School, and also attended The Ohio State University and Miami University. He has been working in the field of Information Technology, most recently as a consultant at Honda in Marysville, OH. Matt was a member of the Soaring Society of America and has his student pilot certificate and was planning to obtain his glider pilot license later this year. He leaves behind his wife, Anna (Stow) Wiebe who is currently attending The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Class of 2005; parents, Al and Kathie Wiebe; brothers, Ken (Cara Anthony) Wiebe and Norm (Kim) Wiebe; sisters, Karen (Andy Miller) Wiebe and Linda (Aaron) Blasky; his wife's parents Jon and Sian Stow; his wife's brothers, Andy (Gina) Stow, Robin (Emily) Stow and Pete (Sarah) Stow; his wife's sister Caroline (Eric) Mooar; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and infant brother Peter. A celebration of Matt's life will be 1 p.m., Saturday October 23, 2004 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, with Father Norman Langenbrunner officiating. The family will receive friends also on Saturday from 10 a.m. - until time of celebration at the funeral home. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, memorials may be made to the Anna Wiebe Scholarship fund, c/o of Fifth-Third Bank 6120 South Gilmore Rd, Fairfield, OH 45014.
