Rubenia Neal Shotts Hardin, 96, died Sunday, July 10, 2005 at Hardy Wilson Memorial Hospital in Hazlehurst. Visitation will be 10 a.m.-11 a.m. today at Stringer Family Funeral Services in Hazlehurst. Services will be 11a.m. today in Stringer Chapel with burial in Antioch Cemetery.
Mrs. Hardin was a native of Covington County. She formerly lived in Taylorsville and Jackson. She had lived in Copiah County since 1974. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She worked in data processing for the Mississippi Employment Security Commission for 19 years. Mrs. Hardin was an avid bridge player and avid outdoorsman. She was a member of the D. A. R., Colonial Dames of the 17th Century, and Gallatin Extension Homemakers. Mrs. Hardin was preceded in death by a great grandchild.
Survivors include, Billie Jane Davis of Hazlehurst; grandchildren, Wendy Cartwright and husband Paul of Yazoo City, Mike Davis and wife Cindy of Hazlehurst, and Jim Davis and wife Sherry of Hazlehurst; 7 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
