Carol Mae (Johnson) Freeman – 59 – passed away on July 31, 2002 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Carol Mae is survived by her husband Tom Freeman of Gaylord, daughters, Pat Burdorf of Inver Grove Heights, and Pam Borka and her husband, Randy of Waconia; sons, Duane Burdorf and his wife Cindy of Laredo, Texas, Dean Burdorf of New Ulm, MN, Troy Freeman of Minneapolis, nine grandchildren, Angela and Andrew Isackson, Tyler and Breanna Borka; Felicia and Zachary Burdorf; Jesse Burdorf and Emily and Nick Freeman.

Carol Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick and Margaret Johnson two brothers, Duane memorial # 24170427 and Robert "Bob" Johnson.

Carol Mae was born on March 25, 1943, in New Ulm, MN. She was the daughter of Fredrick William and Margaret Evelyn (Totman) Johnson. Carol Mae was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in her faith, as a youth in Winthrop. She attended and graduated from Winthrop High School in 1961

Carol was united in marriage with Tom Freeman in Sioux Falls, SD in 1976. The couple resided in Gaylord.

During her life, Carol mae held employment as a manager of several retail stores. She also worked as a hospice volunteer and as a home health aide for over 15 years.

Carol Mae was a member of the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove Ca. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed collecting tea pots and Elvis memorabilia along with going to garage sales. She will always be remembered for her giving personality.
