Services for Elizabeth Whatley, 83, of Brownwood will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dan Chapman officiating.

She died Friday, April 5, 2002 in Mabank.
Liz was born in Bonham. She married Thomas Allen Whatley on Nov. 4, 1950 in Lovington, N.M. She lived in Brownwood for 35 years . She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband and three grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Becknal and Sonny Whatley, both of Lubbock; four daughters, Shirley Hafer of Brownwood, Pat Phillips of Gainesville, Sue Beasley of Lubbock and Paula McWright of Mabank; a sister, Viola Franklin of Bonham; 22 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
