Eddie Guse is the youngest of the 13 known children of his parents. Most of these children are quite short lived and do not seem to have marked or known gravesites. Only three other siblings of the 13 live to adulthood. Young Eddie Guse only lives until age 17 before he succumbs to the case of typhoid fever he had battled for 20 days.

Edward Guse, son of Mr. and Mrs Aug. Guse, died at the home of his mother in Ortonville on Monday evening last, of typhoid fever. The many friends of the young man are filled with sorrow and regret and much sympathy is felt for the bereaved family.
