Hold Funeral Sunday, Mrs. Cora Kilgore, 79; Burial At Lawn Ridge
Funeral services for Mrs. Cora D. Kilgore, 79, resident of Wyoming most of her life, were held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon from Cox Memorial home.
Death occurred Thursday at Galesburg Cottage hospital. Mrs. Kilgore has resided the last two years at home of her son Wilford in Galesburg.
Rev. Stanley Geiselman, pastor of Wyoming Methodist church was in charge of services.
Pallbearers were Gerald King, M. G. Humprey, Howard Ogburn, Floyd Meeske, Neslon Neil and Ernest White.
Burial was in Lawn Ridge cemetery.
Cora D., daughter of Charles and Jessie Hankins Guamer, was born September 16, 1876 in Peoria county. She attended Lawn Ridge school.
She marred Grant Kilgore, former sheriff of Stark county, who preceded her in death.
Mr. Kilgore was sheriff of Stark county preceded him in death.
Mr. Kilgore was sheriff for four years in early 1920's during which time they resided in Toulon.
Surviving are the Wilford of Galesburg; one daughter, Mrs. Madaline Melling, of Peoria; eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and five sisters, Mrs. Olive Salisbury, of Alexander, Michigan; Mrs. James McKuiken, of Sparland; Mrs. Winfred Stewart, of Speer; Mrs. Jessie Burnett of Chillicothe and Mrs. Ina Anderson, of Peoria.
Preceding her in death besides her husband were a son Hobart, in 1951 and a daughter Gladys, some 39 years ago and her parents
