He joined the medical practice of his father-in-law, Dr. Francis Marion Carter, who was listed as a neighbor in the same 1900 Census of Farmers, Rowan County, Kentucky. They practiced out of their homes.
Place of death could have been in Rowan, Bath or Fleming County, KY, but location is unknown. However, it was reported that he died from small pox, but there is no proof.
Family history states that he went out West to help with the smallpox epidemic, caught smallpox himself and died. He did not get the small pox vaccination as suggested by his brother Dr TAE Evans. Burial unknown.
He is the son of Raleigh Marion Evans Jr 1853-1876 and Katherine Prudence Maxey 1842-1903.
