Alma Kimball Watson
STATESBORO -- Mrs. Alma Kimball Watson, age 86, of 408 Salters Mill Road, Americus, died early Saturday morning, April 17, 2004, at East Georgia Medical Center in Statesboro. Funeral services will be held from the graveside at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 19, at Oak Grove Cemetery in Americus. The Reverend Mark Carter will officiate. Visitation will be held from 7 - 9 p.m. today, Sunday, April 18 at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville.
Mrs. Watson was born July 5, 1917, in Emanuel County, the daughter of Rollin and Flora Kimball. She was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith. Mrs. Watson was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn T. Watson.
Survivors include three daughters and one son-in-law, Helen and Bobby Miller of Ellaville, Genelle Adams of Statesboro and Joan Laird of West Point; and five grandchildren, Sheila Mancil of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., Kim Pounds of Cairo, Robert Miller of Lake Blackshear, Chris Adams of Savannah and Brian Adams of Americus. Eight great-grandchildren also survive.
Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville is in charge of arrangements.
