A Funeral Ceremony will be celebrated Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette for Shawn Ryan Broussard, who was called home to be with our Lord on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the young age of 30. He will be greatly missed by his parents, family and friends.
Visitation will be observed on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 10:00 am until the time of services, at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette.
Reverend Weldon Moak will officiate.
Shawn was born September 16, 1985 in Lafayette and was a lifetime resident of Acadiana. He worked as a Quality Assurance Inspector in the oilfield. Shawn’s greatest pleasure was fishing. He also enjoyed playing golf with his mom. He loved life and always lived it to the fullest. Most of all, Shawn was loved by all who knew him.
Shawn is survived by his mother, Jenny Williams and her spouse, Brian of New Iberia; his father, Butch Broussard of Alvin, TX; two brothers, Corey Reid Savoie of Scott and Zachery Broussard of Alvin, TX; his fiancée, Chastdy Prejean of Lafayette; his maternal grandparents, John Luther and Merlie Myers of Lafayette; his paternal grandmother, Barbara Broussard of Lafayette; his uncle and godfather, Craig Myers and his wife, Shirlene of Lafayette; two uncles, Troy Broussard of Carencro and Anthony Broussard of Lafayette; his cousin, Amber Myers; his life-long friend, Jason Sonnier and numerous other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Henry L. Broussard, Sr.
Fountain Memorial Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1010 Pandora Street was in charge of arrangements.
