Ira McDaniel, 59, Of Near Wilkinson Dies After Illness

Ira McDaniel, 59, resident of Wilkinson, Rural Route 1, died at the Veterans Hospital in Indianapolis Friday afternoon. (His birth year has been approximated.)
The body has been taken to the Condo and Sons Funeral Home in Wilkinson. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Christian Church in Shirley. Rev. Verle Libby will conduct the service. Burial will be in Memorial Park, Anderson.
The body will be taken to the residence Sunday morning; friends may call there.
Survivors are the widow, Gladys; three children: Ira Jr., Joan and Linda, at home; two brothers: James of near Wilkinson and Frank of Cincinnati, OH; and a sister, Mrs. Edward Gallagher of Indianapolis.
Mr. McDaniel was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Shirley and the Eastern Star. He had been employed at Delco Remy factory in Anderson for 23 years. He was a veteran of WW I. He had been ill for several years.
