Willie Ray Bowen, 59, Gate City, VA beloved husband and father entered into Heaven to be with Jesus, his father, Cecil Kyle Bowen and grandmother, Pinky Esther Patrick on August 13, 2014 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center after a lengthy period of declining health.
He was a born again Christian and member of Weber City Church of God.
Willie was retired from Daugherty Brothers Chevrolet, Gate City, VA after many years of service, including driving the rollback. He was also a retired locksmith, welder, medical billing specialist and natural health consultant, graduating from Stratford with highest honors.
Left to cherish his memory is his precious wife, Judy Russell Bowen; daughter, Sarah Woodby, whom he adored; son-in-law, William Woodby, II, his caregiver and whom Willie loved like a son; and two step-sons, Anthony Catron and Jonathan Cartron.
It was Willie’s wish to be cremated. There will be no formal visitation. A private memorial service is planned for a later date.
