Funeral services for Mr. Wayne Kennon, 68, of Belah will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 25, 2014 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers in Jena with Rev. Travis Dale Robinson and Cindy Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Belah Cemetery in Belah, La. under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Jena. Family asks that visitation be observed Friday, January 24, 2014 from 5 pm until 9 pm and resume Saturday at 8 am until time of services at the funeral home.
Mr. Kennon was born October 2, 1945 in Urania, La. and passed from this life on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, La.
Mr. Kennon was a sign painter and was known as an Artist. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Veitnam War.
Those left to cherish his memories include his wife, Dorothy Grace Robinson
Kennon; daughter, Gayle Lynn Kennon of Tomball, TX; son, Christopher Wayne Kennon of Humble, TX, step-son, Randy Gene Verheyden of Lake Charles;
sister, Margie Kennon Tovrea of Mesquite, NV; brothers, Tony Lynn Kennon of Houston, TX, Gary Glenn Kennon of Trout and Elmer Allen Kennon of Montrose, Colorado; 2 - grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. D.B. and Augustine Robertson
Kennon and sister, Elaine Mavis Kennon.
