She was born in Franklin County, a daughter of the late Harry C. and Minnie (Wingert) Stamy. She was a member of hte Falling Spring Congregation Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are her husband, A. R. Benedict, State College; three sons and two daughters: Mrs. Glenn O. Hawbaker adn Robert Benedict, State College; Mrs. Laurean Smith, Morefield, W. Va; Harry Benedict, Mercersburg R. D. 1 and Guy Benedict, Waynesboro R. D. 4; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Fox, Chambersburg, and MRs. Hugh Helman, Newville; two brothers, Guy Stamy, Chambersburg; Harry Stamy, Seberling, Fla., and Rees Stamy, Etters R. D. 1; 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
