Agnes Haskin of Bloomingburg, a former10+ years resident of Hemet, Calif., a homemaker and a resident of the Campbell Hall Rehabilitation Center, died Tuesday, December 14, 2004. She was 97 years of age.
The daughter of the late Jacob and Babette Dorth Engelhart, she was born February 25, 1907, in Yonkers. She was the widow of James F. Haskin Sr.
In a family statement it was said, "Agnes was a kind and loving mother and grandmother and was the head of a fifth generation family."
She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert J. and Lorraine Haskin of Wallkill, William R. and Joan Haskin of Hemet, Calif., and James F. Haskin Jr. and his companion, Joan Henry, of Middletown; three daughters and one son-in-law, Agnes "Betty" E. Haskin of Middletown, Julia and George Johnson of Bloomingburg, and Patricia M. Orzeck of Middletown; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, including Dorothy Freeman of North Miami, Fla., and Barbara Connor and her husband, Walter of Putnam Station; and a daughter-in-law, Bunny Greer Haskin of Walker Valley. She was predeceased by three sisters, Anna Gross, Margaret Kenny and Ethyl Engelhart, and two brothers, George and Wilhelm.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan St., Wurtsboro, with the Rev. Betty Beach officiating.
Burial will be made in the Bloomingburg Rural cemetery.
