Military. He was Director General of the Guardia Civil since 1980, when he assumed command of the mounted operation to end the assault on the Congress of Deputies on February 23, 1981 coup by Civil Guards in front of which included Lt. Colonel Antonio Tejero. In October 1983, he resigned as director general of the Civil Guard, becoming active reserve with numerous awards and honors, including the gold medal of Civil Protection (1984), Grand Cross of the Order of Queen Isabel the Catholic (1983) Collective Military Medal, four Red Cross of Military Merit, Three Crosses of War, among others, the second prize in "General Engineer Zarco del Valle", delivered by His Majesty King Don Juan Carlos, in 2003.
Cremated, Ashes given to family or friend.
