Mrs. Willie T. Richardson was born on August 31, 1910 to William and Hattie Mae Hunt in Gilmerton (Chesapeake City) Virginia. She graduated from ICNORCOM High School. Willie was a member of AME Zion Methodist Church which was founded by her father William H. Hunt. She was one of the lead singers in the choir.

Willie married Henry Richardson. To uphold her legacy she leaves her three children, Henry Richardson, Floyd Richardson and Hattie Mae Hunt. Seven grandchildren, Myrna Richardson Smith, Robert Richardson, Michael Richardson, Anita Hunt, Sherri Hunt, Dana Hunt and Darlene Hunt and one great grandson, Gary LaMarr Hunt, a host of cousins, neices and nephews.

Willie had three siblings, Johnny Hunt, Roosevelt Hunt and Rosalie Hunt, Johnny and Roosevelt preceded her death.

Willie was a wonderful housewife and protective caretaker for her father William Haywood Hunt until he passed away. She was known as one of the sweetest ladies in Gilmerton, Va.
