Mrs. Wetzel died April 8, 1995, at a Bethesda, Md. hospital. She was born July 31, 1924, in Webb City, Mo. She moved to Oklahoma City in the 1930s, graduating from Central High School. During World War II she as a production expediter at the Douglas Airplane Plant at Tinker Field.
In 1949, she married Joseph Wetzel, Sr. in Oklahoma City and later lived in New York City and Washington, D.C. before moved to Ada.
She is survived by three sons, Joseph Wetzel, Jr. and Leo Wetzel, both of McLean, Va., and Patrick Wetzel, Los Angeles, Calif.; two daughters, Frances Wetzel Goldbaum, Bethesda, Md., Catherine Wetzel, Daytona Beach, Fla.; two brothers, John Causten Currey, Oklahoma City, David Currey, Houston, Texas; and four granddaughters.
