Funeral Service Held For Woman
Mrs. Harlin, Killed By Auto, Buried; Driver of Death Car Being Hunted.
Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at the City cemetery at Atkins for the body of Mrs. Arlena Harlin, Jerusalem, who was run down and killed by Robert Gibson, negro hit-and-run driver, who is still at large.
The Rev. J.B. Stevenson of the First Methodist church at Atkins, officiated.
A posse was still searching for the negro who made good his escape shortly after the fatality occurred Wednesday night, four miles south of Atkins.
It is the belief of Sheriff Leonard Bell, who headed a posse of 25 the night of the accident, that the black is hiding out in the dense Arkansas woody bottoms and that he is being fed by negro neighbors who live along the banks of the Arkansas river.
