Courtney, OK — Graveside services for Dr. Jim E. Rose, 55, of Ringling, is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2011, at the Rose family plot of the Belleville-Bourland Cemetery with Bro. Joe Taylor and Bro. Nick Ellis officiating. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.

Dr. Rose was born September 3, 1955, at Ardmore to the late Mr. McClain Rose and Mrs. Margarette (Bogle) Rose. He departed this life Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Ardmore.

Dr. Rose graduated from Ringling High School in 1973, from Cameron University in 1978 and received his Doctorate of Veterinarian medicine from the College of Veterinarians at Oklahoma State University in 1982.

He and the former Ms. Cindy Carol Chapman were united in marriage Dec. 28, 1973, at Ringling. Jim loved working with animals, being outdoors, being with his family and riding the four wheeler with his granddaughter Justtice, "He was her Doc."

Preceding him in death are his parents, Mr. McClain Rose, Feb. 2, 1974, Mrs. Margarette Rose, Dec. 27, 2006, and his mother-in-law, Carol Chapman.

Survivors include his wife Cindy of the home; daughter, Kimmie Carol Rose Wilson and husband, Bo'don of Sanger, Texas; son, Cody Rose of Norman; granddaughter, Justtice Nycole Wilson, "His Patty Potamus;" sister, Janice Willis of Corinth, Texas; brother, McClain Rose and wife, Laura of Oklahoma City; father-in-law, L.J. Chapman of Courtney; brother-in-law, Larry Chapman also of Courtney; sisters-in-law, Tammy Holder and husband, Dennis of Chickasha and Shelly Milson and husband, Larry of Oil City; numerous nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Holder, Larry Milson, Joseph Taylor, Jim Seay, Don Dickinson and Eddie Parker.

Honorary bearers will be Larry Chapman, Bo'don Wilson, Derick Taylor, Curtiss Nipp, Justin Nipp, Harvey Grant and Tankie Spivey.
