The ten children of James and Catherine McEnterfer Stewart were Seth Wallace Stewart (1856-1947) who md Ella Jennings (1865-1933), Guy Vernon Stewart (1858-1937) who md Rozella Jones (1865-1952), Mary Elizabeth Stewart (1860-1887) who md William Hermon Dedrich Fuhrman (1853-1939), Calista Stewart (1863-1937) who md Benjamin Frankllin Jones, Jr. (1862-1951), twins Flora Stewart and unnamed brother Stewart (born/died 1865), Lydia Stewart (1868-1927) who md Edmund Dare Wolf (1865-1963), Johny Stewart (1870-1878), Oren K. Stewart (1873-) who first md Ida M. Larue (1876-) then Mae Townsely (1885-), and Clara Stewart.
"The Bronson Pilot Thursday July 31, 1902 James C. Stewart was born in the state of Pennsylvania August 15, 1829 and was married to Catherine McTrapper in February 1855, to this union six children were born. In the year of 1898 he with his family moved to Tennessee, and came to Kansas in 1873, died July 23, 1902 aged 72 yrs. 1 mo. and 8 days. Mr. Stewart was an old settler of this locality and was highly respected and honered by this community."
