We have to record the death of R.F. Steele, which sad event took place on Monday at the home of his son-in-law, R.A. Dykstra, in his 76 year, after a long and trying illness, cancer of the stomach. Mr. Steele was born in Parke County, Indiana and moved to Canada some years ago. Along with Mr. Dykstra settled in Ponoka, he was a man widely known and highly esteemed both here and in his former home, and when the news of his death became known the most sincere regrets were heard on all sides. Besides Mrs. Dykstra, he leaves two sons, both in the states to mourn his loss.The funeral took place on Wednesday, the place of internment being Forest Home Cemetery.
