Dena married Edward D. Maxwell on 11 Nov 1956 in Fresno County, CA. They had one child, Edward D. Maxwell, Jr. Dena and Edward divorced shortly after Edward, Jr. was born and Edward, Sr. went on to marry Dorothy D. Copuggi on 28 Sep 1959 in San Bernardino County.
Dena married Merle Jerome "Zeke" Grubaugh on 14 Oct 1960 in San Bernardino County. They had one child, Terry William Grubaugh, born about a year later.
Dena and Zeke divorced in June 1967 and she never remarried. She did spend a number of years with Jim Fansler, but they never married.

SALEM - Dena is survived by long time friend Jim Fansler, sons Terry Grubaugh from Salem, OR., and Ed Maxwell Jr from Round Oak GA., as well as 5 grandchildren and four great grand children. She passed away quietly in her sleep. Dena was born in Kansas and moved to Colorado as a child. When she was 16 her family moved to Calif. She graduated from Chaffey H.S. in Ontario in 1953. She attended Chaffey College and starting working for Lockheed Aircraft. She retired from Lockheed in 1996. Dena then moved to Salem, OR in 2004. Dena had a life long passion for bowling, and bowled 3-4 times per week. Her memorial will be held at Woodland Chapel in Salem, OR. on April 2nd at 3 pm.
