Mrs. Edith Compton was the daughter of William and Martha Etta Porter Kennell. She was survived by her husband, John F. Compton of the home; a son Howard of Soap Lake, WA; two daughters, Mrs. Lola Lugo of Albuquerque, NM, and Mrs. Geneva Kennedy of Ephrata, Washington; and a sister, Mrs. Mae Holt of Minden, LA.. Graveside services were directed by Nelson's Funeral Home and presided over by Rev. Otha Tackett. (Abbrev. Obituary from the Northwest Arkansas Times, Fayetteville, Ark, 15 and 16 Jan. 1985.)
