Mrs. Doris Richardson Newton died at Schumpert Medical Center on Monday, May 25, 1992 after a lengthy illness. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Forest Park Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Robert W. Guffey, Jr. of the First Baptist Church of which she was a member.
Mrs. Newton was a native of Fort Worth, TX and a resident of Shreveport for over 50 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Russell Newton.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Linda Newton of Dallas, Tx; and one daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Jimmy Madison of Shreveport; four grandchildren, David and Joey Greenwald, Robbie Madison, and Lindsay Newton.
