Cedeno had his first taste in the majors at the tender age of 20. He spent the next four years with the Astros, compiling a .250 average with 30 home runs. He hit for the cycle on August 25, 1992 against the St. Louis Cardinals - the third player in Astros history to accomplish this feat.
He was sent to San Diego in the 1994 mega-deal involving players like Ken Caminiti, Steve Finley, Derek Bell and Ricky Gutierrez. He hit poorly in two seasons with the Padres then was traded to Detroit who then dealt him back to the Astros in 1996 for the last three games of his big league career.
Andujar Cedeno passed away on October 28, 2000 when his auto collided with a truck in his native Dominican Republic.

Remembering your service with Houston during 1990-94 and 1996. You were taken far too soon, but God must've had other plans for you. Rest in Peace, Andujar.|
