Carmen (Glidewell) Woffard passed away February 9, 2006 in Hemet Calif.

She was January 19, 1918 in Hallowell, KS, She attended schools in Columbus and taught in the rural schools of Kansas. Carmen married Gene Woffard of Melrose on June 20, 1937, They wewe married for 53 years before his death in 1990.

Gene and Carmen moved to California in 1949 living in Montebello, La Habra and finally Hemet. Carmen had lived in Hemet for 28 years. She was a life menber of the Eastern Star and was active in PTA and Girl Scouts as her daughters grew up.

Carmen had a deep love of God and tremendous faith. She lovingly served by teaching Sunday School in various churches through the years and was involved in the women's organitions and Bible Study Groups. Carmen was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hemet for the past 20 years.

Carmen was also preceded in death by her daughter, Paula Anderson of Phoenix, Ariz. and her brothers Glen Eldon Glidewell and Carl Glidewell of Wichita, KS.

Carmen was loving Mother, Grandmother and Sister to her daughter and son-in-law Sue and Ed Rowe of Hemet; grandchildren: Denni (Chambers) and Cliff Baumer of Benicia, Calif., Dynell Leigh (Chambers) and Michael Guarnera of Sherman Oaks, Calif., Dalene (Chambers) and Barry Gates of Hemet, Denette Parr and Sarah Rudolph of Gulfport, Fla., Michael Dale, and Lee Anderson of Phoenix, Ariz.; great-grand-children: Karly Chambers, Megan (Gates) and Ray Luna.Chris and Cody Gates, all of Hemet and Tyler Anderson of Phoenix; Sisters Thelma Snyder of Carl Junction, Mo. Dulcie Parker of Fredonia, Ks and Brother Loran Glidewell of Clearwater, KS.

Services wiere at the Hartford Chapel, 120 N. Buena Vista St., Hemet, CA 92543 on Friday February 17, 2006. Interment will be at the Riverside National Cemetery with her husband.
