He was a graduate of Louisiana State University, where he learned to love Cajun food. Bill was a mechanical engineer for Kaiser Aluminum for most of his career, working at their plants in West Virginia, California and Ghana,
West Africa, from where he and his wife, Jo, made three trips around the world.
His hobbies were RVing, square dancing, riding his motorcycle, and photography.
Bill is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 57 years, Jo Herrold of Pebble Beach; three daughters, and two granddaughters,. Bill's great-granddaughter, Mackenzie, is due to arrive at the end of this month.
