At the time of Clarence's death Harry and family were living just east of Philip, South Dakota. There is no existing funeral home records. But there may be old records left at St. Mary's Hospital in Pierre, South Dakota. The Riverside Cemetery in Pierre, South Dakota has hundreds of unknown burials in its cemetery.
His name was spelled Schafield in 1910 Census and it was stated that he was married for 3 years but no wife was listed.
He was the Clarence Schofield who was living in Ludington, Mason, Michigan (Pere Marquette Township) in 1900 and was working as an organ builder. He was married to Mary born May 1845 who was ten years older than him and they said they were married for 16 years an never had children. She was born in Maine. Clarence's cousin's husband Alfred Wise and family made organs in Illinois. Clarence's brother Eugene lived in Ludington, Michigan.

His death certificate states that he was buried in Pierre, South Dakota. He could be buried in Philip, South Dakota in the old part of the cemetery. A plot lists "A" Schofield. It probably stands for Arthur Schofield. (There was an Arthur Scofield living in Haakon County in 1910 age 26 born in Wisconsin and had a wife Ethel age 27) There is no gravestone. It is most likely the son of Arthur Scofield.
