Born May 18, 1917 in Woolsey, South Dakota, son of Samuel Cargill and Mabel Hickman Ferguson. Married Aileen Black October 23, 1946 in Springville, Utah. He was a loving and caring father, took great pride in his family, lived life to the fullest and he was a firm believer that every day is a productive day.
He is survived by wife, Aileen; five sons and seven daughters, Samuel, Connie and Doris, South Dakota; Dan, Tom, Audry, Roquell, Joe and Susan, Salt lake City; Casey, Joyce and Phyllis, Idaho; 33 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ada James and Ina Audiss, South Dakota; brother, Vern Ferguson, St. George.
At his request his body was donated to the University of Utah Medical School.
