This is my great great grandmother. She was a Missionary in China for 26 years and a WWII POW while she was there. She was an excepitional lady.She suffered from polio as a child and had a drooped face her whole life. She had a child to an unknown father in 1894 who happens to be my great grandfather. His name was Charles Alton Hale. Mae married William Luther Hale March 17 1896. William adopted Charles and he carried the Hale name. She married again to a John N. Iry.
