Joan Regina Foran, 68, of Middletown and formerly of Milford passed away suddenly on January 8, 2012. She was born on February 22, 1943 in Milford to the late Joseph A. and Regina Lesnikowski Foran. Ms. Foran was an art teacher, an English teacher, and a slide librarian in an art history department. She was also a school librarian and part- time reference and children librarian in a public library. Survivors include a son Edward (Teddy) Foran Hall; two sisters Monica and Paula Foran; two nephews, Joe Foran and Jim D'Alessio; two nieces, Sharon Foran and Jenn D'Alessio; several grand-nieces and grand nephews and many cousins. There are no calling hours. A Memorial gathering will be held Saturday January 21, 2012 at 12 noon at the home of her sister Monica Foran, 57 Greenwich Way, Milford, 06460. Interment will be private. The Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford is in charge of arrangements. Donations may be made in her name to CT Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure 74 Batterson Park Rd.
