William G. Windham married 7-18-1833 in Lowndes Co., MS to Eliza P. Reese daughter of David Reese. He was living in Williamson Co., TX on the 1860 census and it is not known, for sure, if he ever lived on the land he purchased in Lampasas Co., TX.
He was killed by Indians while traveling with a wagon train carrying supplies between Waco, TX and Hurst Springs, TX His body was never found. G. Willis Windham, his father, had just died in November 1868 in Jones(Davis) County, MS.
