WAYNESBORO - Jack Eugene Cahill, 69, of 90 Brandon Ladd Circle, died Wednesday (July 7, 1999) at his residence. He was born April 15, 1930, at Colorado Springs, Colo., a son of Ralph and Evelyn (McCutchan) Cahill Jackson. He was a security guard with Central Security, Abatis Security and the Wackenhut Corporation. He served in the Navy for 21 years, including during the Korean War and two tours of the Vietnam War. He was a charter and life member of Acacia Lodge No. 47 F.&A.M. at Avondale, Ariz. Survivors include a son, Michael K. Cahill of Colorado Springs a daughter, Carol J. Hostetter of Dauphin, Pa. six grandchildren, Andrew, Lindsay, Elizabeth and Emily Cahill, and Jeffrey and Jenna Patterson a great-grandson, Garrett Patterson special friends, Lonnie and Rosemary Monroe, and other friends in Waynesboro, Staunton and Lexington. A private family service will be conducted at a later date. Reynolds Funeral Service of Waynesboro is handling the arrangements.

He was a security guard with Central Security, Abatis Security and Wackenhut Corp. He served in the Navy for 21 years and was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars. Mr. Cahill was born April 15, 1930, in Colorado Springs. He is survived by a son, Michael K.; a daughter, Carol J. Hostetter; six grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
