MISS KATHERINE BROWN of Red Hill died Monday of this week (Oct. 25) following an illness of only 2 or 3 days from kidney poisoning. She had been rushed to the hospital, but medical assistance was of no avail.
Funeral services were conducted from Allen's Church at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday with Rev. J. E. Hall officiating, hundreds of friends and loved ones being in attendance.
Miss Brown was only 14 years of age, but by a sweet and gentle disposition had endeared herself to the entire community, her untimely death bringing sorrow to every home.
She is survived by her father, Mr. Lawrence Brown; 1 sister, Nell; 1 brother, Robert; paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mr. Bud Brown; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Lula Dilworth, all of Red Hill community.
Weldon & Thomas funeral directors had charge.
