Cedric Earl Lewis, 84, formerly of Lafayette, died Monday, Dec. 13, 1993, in the Naval Home in Gulfport, MS. Born Jan. 10, 1909 in Green Hill, he lived in Lafayette most of his life and had been a resident of the Naval Home for the past seven years. He retired after serving in the Marine Corps for 20 years. He was a veteran of World War II and received two Purple Hearts. Several nieces and nephews survive. Graveside service, Dec. 21, Armstrong Chapel Cemetery, Green Hill. Soller-Baker funeral directors in charge of arrangements.
